Don Camillo, the energetic priest, and Peppone, the combative mayor, share a common piazza: that of Brescello, a town in the plains between the river and the mountains. The eternal rivals, born from Guareschi's pen, return to relive their daring adventures once again.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES
The Don Camillo we will meet turns to God like a child intent on hiding his pranks from his parent, the Christ of the main altar, therefore, becomes the voice of his conscience, with which he will have to conflict several times to achieve the common good and serenity with himself.
and with his long-time rival but forever friend Peppone.
The scenography will be essential but versatile, capable of transforming itself from time to time into the various settings of the story: from the square of Brescello,
Passing through a sleeping car, arriving in Rome. The stage play will therefore be based on a strong physicality, where the props will be used creatively to evoke the various locations of the action. The goal is to bring Guareschi's authentic and ironic atmospheres to life, giving space both to the comedy and bickering between Don Camillo and Peppone, and to the moments of reflection and humanity that make these characters so beloved and timeless.
